THE WALLED GARDEN
EVENT DESCRIPTION:
The ancient festival of Samhain is upon us, often known as the Celtic New Year, it marks the beginning of the long winter nights. On Sunday, 29th October and Monday, 30th October we celebrate the light days of summer and dark nights of winter with a Halloween Hooley – complete with pumpkin carving, music from The Hot Dots, face painting and so much more.
Visit our Walled Garden pumpkin patch, pick your pumpkin, and have your pumpkin carved with members of Bray Lions Club, who will be taking charity donations at their carving station this year to aid the work they do in our community.
Between 14.00 and 15.00 on Monday, 30th October our Scarecrow Judges will also be announcing the winners of this year’s Scarecrow Competition, to get the Midterm break off to a spook-tacular start.
There will be plenty of treats to purchase from our Carrot & Coffee Corner and of course picnics welcome!
Join us for our Halloween Hooley this year – it’ll be hauntingly good.
